Redefinition Is Necessary For Successful ReEntry.

While Covid came with many adverse effects for both life and work, Covid did create a space for reflecting and re-prioritizing what was important.

Given that, as new opportunities to re-engage with friends, community, and work have started to emerge — in many ways re-entry has been about redefining myself. I’ve had an internal desire to be clear about the behavioral changes I wanted to preserve from my Covid year and what I wanted to let go of.

I am excited about my new offering, Re-Entry With Ease and Grace. I am excited and I love that people are reaching out to partner with me in creating an intimate and personal experience for themselves to help them navigate their own unique re-entry journeys.

I am equally thrilled about how CrisMarie is doing her own version of re-entry. She also engaged in training related to Diversity and Inclusion. She shared a great piece on LinkedIn about stepping into the arena and all that it brings up.

Then there’s our work together. Throughout the past year, we have felt guided in new ways around how to serve and support our clients. Our focus has been on Unpacking Stress and supporting organizations, teams, and leaders during these times of uncertainty.

Though stress is still a significant challenge, now we find ourselves being called to focus on the importance of team re-connection. More than ever, there’s a need for leaders to really engage in listening beyond the business objectives. As businesses and organizations navigate coming back together — in-person with some still remote — it is critical to make a space for people to bring themselves fully into this next step.

This involves having real conversations about what’s beneath the surface. For some, this may be related to Covid and its many challenges, fears, grief, anger, division, and economic instability. For others, it may be more focused on the social injustice and the impact of protesting, the Chauvin trial, and what comes next in this social justice movement. Teams need to talk about these various issues and how they operate, work together, redefine and re-connect in light of it all.

With that in mind, we’ve been designing our next offering, Team Re-Connect. The context for this offering comes from working with leaders and teams, hearing their needs and desires, and partnering with them throughout this Covid journey. We know there the business must move forward, but we also know that having real, smart, and healthy conversations, will be what makes the difference for teams to come back together with ease rather than fractured and under stress.

As you think about your own re-entry or the re-entry of your team take a moment to reflect: how are you doing personally, relationally, and out in the community?

We’d love to hear from you and if we can support you, your team, or your organization, please reach out.
